It started with a beat up saxophone. From the first abrasive honk I played, I knew my life was going to revolve around music. That first grating noise probably didn’t mean anything to most people, but to me it was powerful - like I was capable of making people stop and listen. I loved it.

Over 25 years later, I’m still playing, though I’ve expanded my repertoire substantially since then. I am now an award-winning composer and musician - all thanks to a school’s music program (and some very tolerant family members).
